BrendaASHWORTHof Sandfield Road, Bacup, died in the Royal Preston Hospital on Tuesday, January 14, aged 75. A service was held at the Chapel of Rest on Tuesday, February 4 followed by cremation at Burnley at, conducted by Mr Peter Goulding. Born in Bacup in 1944 she was the youngest daughter of Clara and Thomas Fell and lived in Bacup all of her life. Brenda's working life began at the Savoy Cafe in Bacup and she retired after working for Lancashire County Council where she was employed as a chaperone for children with special needs going to and coming home from school. She enjoyed playing darts and quizzing for local pub teams and also enjoyed going to a craft group at Central Methodist in Bacup. She leaves three children, Julie, Vicki and Nick, six grandchildren, her sister Jean, brother-inlaw Colin, nephews Peter and Wayne and many friends.
